DELIA

While watching Delia -  smiling, laughing and helping the children at the elementary school where she volunteers two days a week, it is hard to remember the shy reserved young lady who began Victory Living Programs' Adult Day Training Program in 2007. She thrives and is at her best when she is giving back to others. Always one of the first to jump in and help when needed, the hesitency of the past is nowhere to be seen.

Learning to cook new dishes and of course, sampling the fruits of her labor,  always brings a smile to Delia's face. She truly enjoys sitting down with her friends or with guests to enjoy a dish or meal she has helped to prepare.

Gardening is another one of Delia's passions. She never minds digging in and getting dirty. She will gladly give visitors a tour of the gardens she has helped to plant and nuture. She loved the time she spent with members of the Navy and Marines during Fleet Week, buillding the community gardens, which are used by members of the community to grow fresh fruits and vegetables. The gardens, like Delia's personality have bloosomed and grown through the years.
